Portrait 1 / Eun Sun Chae

Bio

Eun Sun Chae is a mother, healer, Buddhist and consultant currently based out of Northern Virginia. She has sheltered multiple individuals within her home. For the last 3 years, she has been coordinating a “relational residency” for various socially engaged artists.

Her particular expertise is in a unique chiropractic exercise called Mom-Salim - which combines various light motions to stimulate the spine and encourage an overall fluid connection of parts throughout the body.

She is also an expert on a particular strain of Korean Buddhism that overlaps with art in that it takes a position of integrating conceptual balances into everyday life.

In 2019, she took part of a networked graffiti project shown in the State gallery of Vienna, Austria titled “Fuck Capitalism”. She is currently participating in the Amasian Biennale Cookout with a local neighborhood creation - kimchi jerky.
