Fund/Raising

Dearest friends and family,

Warmest greetings!   And wonderful to be reaching out to you all amidst the madness of this past year.  I sincerely hope this finds you healthy and well.

I’m writing to tell you about an exciting artistic venture I have embarked on during these past many months: TAXONOMY OF BREATHING is multi-tiered collaborative project that investigates our current societal moment through the lens of breathe – its vulnerability, its oppression, and its power of transformation.  The genesis of the project is a graphic drawing or “map” that visually charts an array of elements of this historical moment: societal, environmental, political, spiritual.   100 copies of this map are being distributed globally, edited, and returned, and the responses consolidated into one aggregate master map that assesses these issues from a global perspective.   This initial “breathing” map is then the catalyst for an array of additional art projects further exploring different elements of the map, which include drawings, video, and music compositions to name a few…and all in various stages of production from complete to not yet conceived.

To tackle such an endeavor, we are launching the IceBox Collective, a small band of wiley artists with bigger dreams than pockets. And sooo….

We need your support to bring this thing to life!

Please join us Wednesday 26 May, 6-9pm for an Open Studio + KickStarter Launch Party!

Meet the artists and collaborators, hear the stories, and get an exclusive view of the work that has been generated thus far, including Things we lost in the Fire, a projected video + multi-media project.

We will also launch our Kickstarter Campaign that evening to raise seed money to help with production costs and supporting our amazing artist collaborators!   Details soon…

With enormous thanks and much anticipation in seeing your faces! (or at least your eyes :)) ** and yes!  plenty of outdoor space for fresh air & social distancing!**
